When looking for the best view of Amsterdam you might have been at the Nemo, the Amsterdam library or the rooftop at the new Dam Square W Hotel. But from this weekend on you can also visit A'DAM Lookout where you can have a spectacular 360º panorama view of the city. A'DAM Lookout is located in the former Shell tower in Amsterdam North (Noord) next to the EYE Film Institute, just on the other side of the IJ from Central Station.
Today A'DAM Lookout had a special preview opening and my Sister, Darcy and I where happy to check it out! The excitement starts shooting up in the elevator, the staff warned us that some children can be scared of the flashing lights and loud music but thankfully Darcy seemed to love it. The view was amazing. I've not seen the city I've spent much of my life in from such a height. Darcy seemed to love it as well, she even walked over the glass floor without fear. The A'dam Lookout is a perfect spot for city landscape photography or just getting some special shots of the kids overlooking Amsterdam. We will definitely be back for another visit.
