Fall Vacation - 2 Days of Terschelling
Nestled in the embrace of the North Sea, Terschelling is a gem among the Frisian Islands, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty, serenity, and cultural richness. Recently, we had the privilege of embarking on a two-day vacation to this enchanting island, and it proved to be a rejuvenating escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
We explored the vast stretches of sandy dunes and looked for mushrooms in the woods. It became evident that Terschelling is a haven for nature enthusiasts. A boat tour with the Talisman to see the seals just off the Terschelling shore was a big hit. We saw many seals warming up in the sand and even spotted a lost humpback whale.
If you ever plan to visit the island with children then we defenitly recommend to go crab fishing. The rods with the net to catch the crabs are sold at the shops in town. You then fill the nets with bacon, sink them and you will catch crabs in no time :)
A our visit in Terschelling came to an end, I found myself reluctant to leave the serenity of this island. The seamless blend of nature, history, and culture made it a vacation to remember
